Despite the weak performance of our previous management company and the very tight deadline we gave Newton-Trelawney to take over, the process was surprisingly smooth and effective. Newton-Trelawney took charge, assigned a Senior Property Manager to closely guide the transition, and their Business Manager seamlessly took care of the overwhelming number of key tasks in administering our funds, owner banking and the list goes on!

One thing is for sure, contractors want to work at properties they manage because they know how to get the best out of their contractors without breaking the bank. They look for talent, knowledge and service excellence and won’t stand for anything less.

I had some challenges with the activities and behaviours of some of the tenants/neighbours. Our property manager worked very hard and was in our corner to ensure that everyone followed the rules and, most importantly could enjoy our beautiful property. They dealt with the issue professionally and in confidence. They do a marvellous job and are very tactful in dealing with some challenging individuals.

Property management isn’t simply about making sure the landscaping is nice. As Directors and owners, we need to trust the team with the dollars and cents – and financial due diligence. That trust in Newton-Trelawney’s administrative team is well-placed and their services and support are exceptional! They are proactive, capable, accurate and on-time. We couldn’t ask for more.

Condo living has a lot of benefits – but it also comes with responsibilities. Enforcing the rules helps sustain property values and living enjoyment for everyone, but it is also one of the most challenging tasks for our manager and Board. Our Newton-Trelawney manager is fair, flexible but also firm when the situation calls for it.

Accurate, timely and respectful communication is key to ensuring a solid and smooth relationship with the Board, owners and managers. Our Board and owners feel “in the loop” without being over-burdened by unnecessary details.

The townhouse and building managers are fair – but they are no pushovers. When they see that a contractor isn’t fulfilling their part of the contract, they are right there making sure we get it right – asking all the right questions. They are tough negotiators and won’t sacrifice quality for price. Newton-Trelawney Boards should feel confident that their manager is getting them the best deal and excellent quality.

Our family was experiencing some short-term financial and personal challenges. The administrative staff were very understanding while still doing their job in ensuring that the condominium owners were looked after. They didn’t make us feel like just a number or someone who owed money. They cared and worked with us to find a solution that was in everyone’s best interest.
