Our Leadership Team

Colin SinclairPresident
A proven leader in the property management industry with 30 years of experience in managing condominiums, regional shopping centres and office buildings from coast to coast; A troubleshooter for distressed properties, specializing in developing and implementing complex real estate recovery plans for many types of developments;
Consultant on Ontario’s Condominium Act, real estate and condominium law, and the Reserve Fund Study process; Acquired Newton Property Management in 1998 and Trelawney Management Services in 2000. Managed nine different mixed use real estate properties (over 6 million sq ft) for Cambridge Leaseholds Limited from 1981 to 1998;
Implemented a $50 million redevelopment of the Oshawa Centre from 1991 to 1996;
Sharon JonesDistrict Manager
Sharon Jones began her career with Newton Trelawney approximately 23 years ago. Her first responsibility with the company was receptionist and as the company grew so did Sharon’s responsibilities including, accounts receivable, accounts payable, building manager/property manager and she now oversees the townhouse division in Durham Region. With her vast experience in townhouse management she has gained relationships with many boards and still continues friendships many years later. This has also been her experience with contractors in the Durham Region that have gained a respect for the professional management she has provided the corporations she has managed throughout the years.
Sue BottrellDistrict Manager
With nearly 30 years in the condominium management industry, Sue has seen and done it all when it comes to successfully managing townhouse and high-rise condominiums. Working from the ground up, she has a wide variety of experience and knowledge that spans small, medium and large property management companies. Sue has been with Newton-Trelawney since 1998 and hasn’t looked back. Sue has her Associate of the Canadian Condominium Institute (A.C.C.I.) designation and the Registered Condominium Manager (RCM) designation. As a Senior Property Manager in the eastern high rise division of Newton-Trelawney, Ms. Bottrell continues to keep her skills and knowledge managing a number of properties, overseeing property managers, and taking lead responsibility for occupational health and safety training and readiness for Newton-Trelawney.
Wendy WrightDistrict Manager
Wendy has her RCM, Association of Condominium Managers in Ontario designation. Wendy has assumed increased responsibilities in the Property Management field over the past 9 years and is currently a District Manager responsible for staff and customers in Toronto and Durham region. She has earned her RCM designation and is an active member of ACMO. Industry experience with small, medium and large property management companies has provided a wealth of knowledge and first -hand experience in almost every property type, corporate style and organizational practices enabling her to leverage “Best Practices and Procedures” into her current assignments – benefiting her customers and enriching the Newton-Trelawney team.
Jon TinicheDistrict Manager
Jon joined Newton-Trelawney over 11 years ago with his Certified Residential Commercial Property Management designation. His years of experience managing the complexity of various townhouse styles has gained him strong project management, astute administrative and budgeting skills. He is very organized and passionate about his properties. He has also found time to acquire his Registered Condominium Manager designation. Board members respect his vast knowledge in physical building and financial management of the corporation’s assets. Jon now oversees the townhouse division in Toronto.
Brenda SmithDirector of Administration
Brenda thrives on the fast pace environment and the challenges of her position. She has been in an administrative role for over 38 years and the last 21 years with Newton-Trelawney. Her hands on approach and knowledge in all aspects of Property Management allow her to bring strong leadership to our administrative team. Brenda is always improving on our systems with the goal to provide the finest client care possible. Her innovative and superlative IT skills have been beneficial in streamlining and modernizing our processes.
As the investment adviser, Brenda designs an Investment Fund Plan to compliment the Reserve Fund Study in assisting Board of Directors in developing and implementing long term and short term strategies for investing.
